The Lisbon-Mt. Vernon Ambulance Service (LMVAS) is committed to providing prompt, quality emergency medical care to the community. As a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, donations are an important part of our financial health. Gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations help us fulfill our mission. By contributing to LMVAS, you support our ability to remain a thriving local service.
Unless otherwise specified, gifts are unrestricted and support LMVAS operations and highest priorities including medical supplies, vehicle replacement and maintenance, communication equipment, and training. Your generosity will support our ability to provide emergency medical care for many years to come.

One-Time Gift
A one-time gift is an unrestricted or designated gift in the amount you specify. To make a gift, please see above or contact the EMS Director at manager@lmvas.org or 319-895-8531.

Sustaining Gift
A sustaining gift is an unrestricted monthly gift that you can pay in a convenient, ongoing way. Each month, we will charge your credit or debit card the amount you specify. Your sustaining gift will automatically continue unless you choose to cancel or change it. You can increase, decrease, or stop your donation at any time by calling us at 319-895-8531. Sustainers are crucial to providing an ongoing base of community support that we can rely on, so you can continue to rely on LMVAS. Pledge
A pledge is an unrestricted or designated gift that you pay over a pre-determined number of months or years. Each year, we will send an invoice or charge your credit or debit card the amount specified on your pledge form. Your pledge will be fulfilled once the total amount of the pledged gift is paid. Pledges allow you to make the impact of a larger gift through the convenience of smaller payments. To make a pledge, please contact the EMS Director at manager@lmvas.org or 319-895-8531.

Memorial or Honorary Gift
Making a gift to LMVAS is a wonderful and meaningful way to honor an individual or group, commemorate a special occasion, or memorialize a loved one.
If you would like to make a gift to LMVAS in honor of a friend or loved one or a LMVAS care provider, we will notify them of your generous gift. Please provide with your gift the name and address of the person you would like us to notify. The amount of your gift will remain confidential.

If you would like to make a gift to LMVAS in memory of a friend or loved one, we will send a note to their family acknowledging your generous gift. Please provide with your gift the name and address of the person you would like us to notify. The amount of your gift will remain confidential.

If you would like to direct gifts to LMVAS in an obituary, we suggest the following memorial gift language:

Matching Gift
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please contact your employer. Dan has been a volunteer with LMVAS for 18 years and was active with the service in many ways to include serving as secretary with the LMVAS Volunteer Association. Dan was an EMS education fanatic and was constantly learning about the latest trends in pre-hospital treatments.
